Nobody said they were going to saw Manhattan in half, ok? If Snopes debunks it, it must be untrue! Frankly, I don't think this saw story, set in 1823, has really been going around much in recent years, though I have known a few people who'd like to cut the bridges in two. What they thought we'd eat once cut off from the outside world, I dunno.
