President George W. Bush was busy praising embattled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales at a press conference Thursday when a bold sparrow swooped overhead and deposited a present on the commander in chief’s left sleeve. Though a White House spokesperson claimed it was a good sign, we here at Truthdig beg to differ.
V.J. goes to Coney Island and recreates the 1929 weiner song (now sadly gone from youtube). Fans of puking chanteuses and evocations of oral sex won't be disappointed! Another disturbing rendition was performed on the Lawrence Welk show by pretty Peggy Lennon.
Lady Bunny (above) sure can do the hokey-pokey!
Bunny's show is extremely filthy and has made grown men cry and horses flee, but the crowd ate it up.
She gyrated to moves not seen since The Love Machine first made it's spectacular hit in New York and delighted the audience with a song she wrote just for the night and the place where she trashed, well, The Trash. "Glorious and Profound" the papers will write in the morning, and my side hurt from laughing so much.
Carol Channing is really rockin' out, and the hippie chorus boys love her for it!
